Sometimes I can’t believe my luck, I design album covers for a living. Somehow, I pay my bills making art for music. It allows me the unbelievable opportunity to work with some of the most talented people in the world, and call them my friends. They trust me to represent the music they’ve made and together we make something beautiful.

…and sometimes it sucks.

Sometimes you make a few ugly covers, sometimes you start to lose your fire, sometimes you’re just working to pay the bills… It’s one of those times.

I needed to hit reset, so here we are on a blog. I’ve decided to design a few things just for me (and you, too), things that inspire me and make me excited to create again. Pretty things that I’m proud of.

This time around, I’m inspired by my home: Nashville, Tennessee.

Recently, I’ve had a bit of a love affair with the city I grew up in. I’ve listened to sad country songs on repeat and stared in awe at the glittery suits at Manuel's studio. I've tried to take in some of this town's history, which is so often seen as cheesy.

I think it’s glamorous, over the top, and full of real beauty. Sure, there’s some tacky in there, but what kind of southern girl would I be if I didn’t embrace big hair and rhinestones?

Here are some of my heroes the way I see them…
